Wright State University's Friendship Food Pantry, an emergency pantry for the Dayton community, is coordinated through the Office of Vice President for Student Affairs. It is made possible by the generosity of Wright State students, faculty, staff, the local community, and the dedicated service of its volunteer staff.
Mission
The Wright State University Friendship Food Pantry provides emergency food and referrals primarily to students in times of need helping them to stay in school and meet their educational goal. The pantry is also dedicated to assisting faculty, staff, and community members in need of emergency food and referrals in order to relieve food insecurities and their underlying causes in the Dayton community.
Services
The Wright State University Friendship Food Pantry will provide anyone in need with a few days of emergency meals. Students should bring their Wright 1 Card. For questions, contact the food pantry at foodpantry@wright.edu or (937) 775-2617.
Anyone needing longer-term food assistance will also be given contact information for pantries near campus and/or information about long-term food assistance programs.
Food pantry volunteers may also refer pantry clients to campus or community programs and agencies that can assist with other needs they may have. The WSU Friendship Food Pantry cannot guarantee the quality of or qualification for any outside programs or services.
